Escapism은 Kevin’s Retirement Plan(이하 KRP)과 기타리스트 겸 프로듀서 마이크 리의 합작이다. 앨범은 전체적으로 얼터네이티브 락과 포스트 펑크/락이 공존하면서 일렉트로니카의 손길도 닿아져있어, 일상생활의 경계들안에 갖혀져있다고 느끼는 누군가의 가려진 현재가 보이는 이미지를 그리고 있다. 또한, 앨범의 소리는 도시의 혼란속에 곧 잠길 평화로운 명확함의 순간들을 탐구하고 있다

Escapism is a collaboration between Kevin’s Retirement Plan and Mike Lee. It is a blend of alternative and post punk rock with elements of electronica which portrays an image of obscured reality from someone who feels trapped in the confines of daily life. The sound delves into moments of peaceful clarity that are soon drowned out by urban chaos.

Kevin’s Retirement Plan (KRP)에 대하여: KRP의 주축은 최고의 은퇴계획을 찾고 있는 학생 임규민이며, 서울출생인 그는 보스턴에서의 공부경험을 바탕으로 염감을 받아 곡들을 쓰고 만들었다. 락 장르의 경계가 어디까지인지 실험을 하는 그는 현재 KRP를 통해 락의 다양한 모습들을 항해하는 걸 같이할 다른 목소리들을 찾고 있다.

About Kevin’s Retirement Plan: The driving force behind Kevin’s Retirement Plan is Kyumin Lim, a Korean student who embarked on a mission to find... his retirement plan. Born in Seoul, South Korea and moving to study in Boston, Massachusetts gave him the inspiration to begin writing and producing music. With the hopes of testing the boundaries of the rock genre, Kyumin created Kevin’s Retirement Plan and has plans to expand the band to find different voices to help navigate all areas and aspects of rock.
